Global Recognition & Assessment of the Sick Patient & Initial Treatment (GRASPIT)" that was developed by critical care experts from Torbay and is now delivered entirely by Kenyan educators. This course is designed for emergency medical responders, EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, and physicians who deal with prehospital trauma care. It teaches how to recognize and manage life-threatening emergencies, such as hemorrhage, airway obstruction, shock, and special populations. The course is delivered through a combination of lectures and interactive scenario-based training or through a combination of shorter sessions. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a course completion card that is valid for four years and CAPCE credit
